Carving For A Cause

This week, F&C carved out a little time to hold our annual Mozel Sanders Foundation charitable event, the capstone of a campaign that we’ve been running this year since the middle of the summer to raise donations and collect goods for the Mozel Sanders Foundation’s annual Thanksgiving Day campaign.

This year, F&C and our partners at Vision Communities, Inc. presented Stephanie Sanders (head of the foundation) with a $4,000 check and over 5,000 goods for the campaign.

And of course, we celebrated the end of the drive with a little F&C flair, highlighted by a pizza party and pumpkin carving contest in our Corporate Headquarters on the 30th floor of the Regions Tower in Downtown Indianapolis.

Each and every department participated in what we dubbed the “Great Carve Off” – with prizes awarded to:

  • Scariest Carve – Drew Rosenbarger
  • Most Creative Carve – Josh Marsh
  • People’s Choice – Josh Marsh

Special thanks to our judges (Lynne Petersen and Pat Gleason from the IAA and Stephanie Sanders and Stefon Sanders of Mozel Sanders Foundation).

We even found out that Luke Hoffman can hollow out a pumpkin in less than 2 minutes!

Mozel Sanders Foundation goal is to raise $100,000 in their annual Thanksgiving Day campaign. Each year, the Mozel Sanders Foundation feeds approximately 40,000 in Central Indiana on Thanksgiving – in addition to distributing bags of goods and groceries each and every month to those in need.
