And the Award Goes To…

Yeah, the Oscars are, like, so last week.

But they’ve got nothing on Flaherty & Collins Properties, as the awards roll in throughout the year, not just one night. (#humblebrag) So, take that Leo!

This week, the Apartment Association of Southern Indiana (AASI) held it’s annual convention and awards program and our very own Jessica Coursey was named the “MVP” of the entire convention. Jessica is a bit of a “do-it-all”, jack of all trades type of person, and we couldn’t be more proud of her hard work! Her infectious effort must have been passed on to other F&C team members, as Sherry Riker was named the Rookie of the Year by AASI. Sherry is the amazing property manager at the successful new Downtown Terrace property in Petersburg, Indiana. J’Juan Helm was a finalist for Maintenance Technician of the Year as well.

Congratulations to Sherry, Jessica and J’Juan!

Meanwhile, back in Indianapolis, one of F&C’s newest projects, Axis, was scooping up a fairly prestigious honor on it’s own.

Axis was been named the Best Mixed-Use Retail Project by the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s Indiana Chapter. This is the second time Flaherty & Collins Properties has had a project win the award, with Cosmopolitan on the Canal taking home the hardware in 2011.

Flaherty & Collins Honored for Service

Boys and Girls ClubHere at Flaherty & Collins, we take great pride in giving back to the community in a variety of different ways. Our team also makes the different events we do throughout the year a lot of fun. Which is why we were honored last month when F&C was named as the Indiana Area Council of Boys and Girls Clubs Outstanding Community Service Award winner for this year.

With nearly 40 Boys & Girls Clubs in Indiana, Flaherty & Collins was selected from several nominees state wide. The council chose to honor F&C for specific efforts at the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville, where for the past two years, employees have organized and executed a volunteer day designed to address specific needs of the Club.

In 2013, 16 employees volunteered over 120 hours of service. These volunteer days helped the Club to complete projects that may have never been addressed. We are honored for this recognition and look forward to what 2014 has in store!
