And the Award Goes To…

Yeah, the Oscars are, like, so last week.

But they’ve got nothing on Flaherty & Collins Properties, as the awards roll in throughout the year, not just one night. (#humblebrag) So, take that Leo!

This week, the Apartment Association of Southern Indiana (AASI) held it’s annual convention and awards program and our very own Jessica Coursey was named the “MVP” of the entire convention. Jessica is a bit of a “do-it-all”, jack of all trades type of person, and we couldn’t be more proud of her hard work! Her infectious effort must have been passed on to other F&C team members, as Sherry Riker was named the Rookie of the Year by AASI. Sherry is the amazing property manager at the successful new Downtown Terrace property in Petersburg, Indiana. J’Juan Helm was a finalist for Maintenance Technician of the Year as well.

Congratulations to Sherry, Jessica and J’Juan!

Meanwhile, back in Indianapolis, one of F&C’s newest projects, Axis, was scooping up a fairly prestigious honor on it’s own.

Axis was been named the Best Mixed-Use Retail Project by the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s Indiana Chapter. This is the second time Flaherty & Collins Properties has had a project win the award, with Cosmopolitan on the Canal taking home the hardware in 2011.

Downtown Living Tour a Smashing Success

EMAIL FOLLOWUP.indd

Last month, Axis participated in the 2014 Downtown Living Tour presented by Indianapolis Monthly. As proud as we were to show off the fantastic Axis project, which is now leasing, we were even more excited to learn this week that over $13,000 was raised for IPS Education Foundation, an organization that serves IPS students by working to create innovative, quality learning environments.

Marsh, located in the Axis building, served delicious food to our roughly 500 guests on Friday, September 12, which proved to be a cool late summer night. The Downtown Living Tour featured new and exciting developments in downtown Indianapolis. Another 500 guests toured the Axis property on Saturday, September 13 as part of the Tour.

DCIM100MEDIAIn the photo above, you can see our great lawn lit up and entertaining those on the tour (thanks to our own Derek Miller for taking these shots!)

Flying High

Earlier this summer, we bought a drone! This multi-functional tool has become quite the favorite around the office and our Marketing Team has labeled it “FC-1”. Marketing Associate Derek Miller has been piloting the drone to different developments and properties this summer, capturing some great views and new angles we were previously unable to get. We’re excited to see what else we can do with the drone in the coming months. For now, check out some of the first photos we’ve nabbed with FC-1:
