Last week, several of our team members traveled up to Noblesville, IN for The Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville’s 2nd annual Cornhole Tournament!
The event was held in anticipation for The Club’s upcoming school year, raising awareness and funds towards the development of its members. Serving youth from kindergarten to 12th grade, the BGCN provides positive and engaging programs that enrich the lives of over 2,000 members. Because of events like the cornhole tournament, no child was turned away because they could not pay the membership fee.
Over 30 teams showed up to play at BGCN’s 2nd annual Cornhole Tournament. The event was a double-elimination tournament with winners and a non-winners bracket. All proceeds benefited the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville.
Flaherty & Collins Properties sent five (5) teams to the tournament, and only one team made it to the quarterfinals—but everyone played valiantly and still had a blast!
Team Hotdog Water, Josh Marsh and Brian Outlaw, F&C’s best performing team of the day!
We’re looking forward to next year’s tournament, for sure! For more information in how you can get involved with The Boys and Girls Club, check out their website here.
This week, Flaherty & Collins Properties held it’s annual Day of Giving, where staff volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville. Over 20 volunteers worked throughout the day on a variety of items to assist the club – which sees over 300 kids come through their doors per day.
F&C Team Members, among many items, replaced damaged ceiling tiles, cleaned stairs, painted walls, re-striped the parking lot, fixed potholes, washed windows and cleaned vents in the main building, which served as the original Noblesville High School and is nearly 90 years old. The team also worked at Camp Crosser to to repair some items and add gravel, as well as work the bulldozer at the Community Center, where a former building was demolished. Employees tore out bushes and picked up trash.

Here at Flaherty & Collins, we take great pride in giving back to the community in a variety of different ways. Our team also makes the different events we do throughout the year a lot of fun. Which is why we were honored last month when F&C was named as the Indiana Area Council of Boys and Girls Clubs Outstanding Community Service Award winner for this year.
With nearly 40 Boys & Girls Clubs in Indiana, Flaherty & Collins was selected from several nominees state wide. The council chose to honor F&C for specific efforts at the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville, where for the past two years, employees have organized and executed a volunteer day designed to address specific needs of the Club.
In 2013, 16 employees volunteered over 120 hours of service. These volunteer days helped the Club to complete projects that may have never been addressed. We are honored for this recognition and look forward to what 2014 has in store!
